The tailor and the mouse

There was a tailor had a mouse,
Hi diddle unkum feedle,
They lived together in one house,
Hi diddle unkum feedle.

Hi diddle unkum tarum tantrum,
In the town of Ramsay,
Hi diddle unkum over the lea,
Hi diddle unkum feedle.

The tailor had a tall silk hat,
The mouse, he ate it, fancy that.

The tailor thought the mouse was ill,
He gave him part of a purple pill.

The tailor thought the mouse would die,
He baked him in an apple pie.

The pie was cut, the mouse jumped out,
The tailor chased him all about.

The tailor chased him over the lea,
The last of the mouse he never did see.
